Interview with Margaret Emory
Margaret Emory is an amazing agent in New York who's written a great book called Ask an Agent - which goes through the complexities of the agent/actor life. I was fortunate to have been able to snag about an hour's worth of her time for a fantastic interview where we discuss all kinds of things actors can do to work with an agent and move their careers forward (and even some things they should NOT do). I know you're going to love this interview!

Key Takeaways:
- Your acting technique is just as important as your audition technique. Learn why being great at auditioning is so crucial if you want to be able to get an agent - most agents won't even consider you if you have any issues with auditioning!
- Learn the industry-standard ways to get an agent. Emory explains how actors can contact and sign with agents, and she also talks about what most agents want from the actors they work with.
- Progression is power. We discuss why slowing down and taking some time to think about your acting career is going to be more beneficial in the long run than rushing into things and trying to get success in everything immediately. Margaret explains exactly why the actors who don't strategize tend to be the ones who stay stuck!
