Find Your Brand
By combining your "Type" and "Archetype"
These days, so many actors talk about brand, type, and archetype, but not many know what the words actually mean!
Well here's a simple answer: Your brand is essentially your essence, and it's a combination of what people see you as physically (which is your type) and your personality or who you are (which is your archetype).
Just think... imagine if you had an ultra-clear brand. Your website, business cards, headshot, reel, and all your other marketing materials could be tailored perfectly to show casting directors that you are THE expert for the role... You'd get called in constantly because no one else could play that role as well as you!

As you start to define your brand, you'll become more memorable in the industry as an expert at a particular character type, and you'll start to get booked on more and more jobs. As you get busier, you'll start increasing your day rate, and then one day when you have a huge fan base, you'll be able to break out of your brand and try something completely new if you so choose!
In this mini-course, we'll cover the following:
- All the possible archetypes and what makes them tick. It's important that you understand the different options so you can find which one is most "you."
- Exactly how other people see you. When you know what people physically see you as being able to play, you'll immediately know how you should start marketing yourself and for what types of projects and characters you should audition.
- How to combine your archetype and type together to form your brand. We'll then discuss how to combine your physical looks with your personality to define your unique brand. Once you have a clearly defined brand, you'll be much more confident submitting to projects because you'll know exactly which roles you love and which you hate.
- How to use your brand in your marketing. We'll wrap up by discussing how you can tailor each of your marketing materials to your new brand so that casting directors, agents, and filmmakers immediately know who you are and actually get excited to bring you in for auditions.
