Hi, I'm Martin!
And my number one goal is to help you reach yours. Since 2009, I've helped tens of thousands of actors move their careers forward through my courses, free strategy emails, 1-1 consulting, actor headshots & demo reel services. Want to book a major primetime tv show? It can be done. Would you like to work on Broadway? I've helped an actor get there in less than a month. Need a great agent? Let's strategize and get you one ASAP. My long term goal is to one day end the cliche of "the starving artist." And it all starts with getting strategic and thinking "outside the industry." Read the stories below to get an idea of what I mean: |
Tyrone L. Robinson booked his first Broadway role in just 4 weeks.
"I’ve been working as an actor for almost 2 decades and had been wanting to perform on Broadway for almost seven years. I did a career consultation with a well-known business of acting coach a few years ago but it didn't help, so I was skeptical. How would Martin's material be any different? In less than a month of working with Martin, I was offered the role of King Agnarr in Disney's 'Frozen' on Broadway. And two weeks later I got signed by a highly regarded film & television agency in New York!' |
Phae Amara was featured in Backstage Magazine and booked the lead in an independent film in 8 weeks
"Since studying and following Martin's material, I landed my first TV role, booked a paid lead role in an independent film, and was featured in Backstage Magazine. I love Martin and what he offers! Being featured on Backstage has been amazing. A lot of casting directors saw the article and reached out to me for self-tapes (since the article came out I've had 5 self-tapes and 2 requests to do an in-person audition). This is incredible, thanks so much for everything!" |
Mya Carter booked her first speaking role in Law & Order: SVU in just 2 weeks
"I had no idea where to start! I just got out of college and was lucky enough to get a manager, but still felt confused and stuck. My manager wasn't submitting me and I wasn't getting booked for anything professional – just workshops and readings. After just two weeks of using your material, my mindset was totally different. I now know what you mean by 'taking on a leadership role in your acting career' and I understand how the industry works. I just booked my first speaking role in Law & Order: SVU and my manager is FINALLY listening to me!" |
Zariah Cain signed with her top-choice agency in just 6 weeks
"Before I met Martin, I was just a 13-year-old girl trying to find my way through the sea of other actors with no clear acting goal. I didn’t understand how to get the doors to start opening for me and what was required to get an interview with casting directors and agencies. Gratefully now, and thanks to Martin, I signed with my top choice agency and my acting future is so much clearer!" |
Adormeisay Frazier went from one audition every 2-3 months to multiple auditions a week in less than 3 weeks
"Martin’s material helped me immensely. I was getting around one audition every month or two, and after just a few weeks of applying Martin's material, that number jumped to 2 or more each week! It's still increasing – and I haven't even updated my headshot yet.
Originally I did not know what was keeping me stuck. The whole idea of learning to “market” myself felt awkward and overwhelming because I did not want to do things the wrong way and possibly annoy people or get my headshot posted on the 'Wall of Shame.' I’m happy to say that my acting career is picking up now, and I am auditioning much more regularly for roles I’m excited about. Thank you, Martin!" |
So many actors tell me they feel stuck.
They're doing everything right. They're doing everything the industry has shown and told them to do:
They're doing everything right... So why are they still booking the same roles as they did years ago? Why is it that they still feel stuck?
And why is it that an actor who felt stuck for 15 years suddenly got booked on Broadway, landed a great agent, and got booked in a major television show – all in less than 6 weeks of us starting to work together?
Well, it had to do with simply changing the way he thought and operated. Watch the short video below:
They're doing everything right. They're doing everything the industry has shown and told them to do:
- A casting director said their headshot background was too dark. So they invested in a better one.
- A friend said it's really hard to get seen without a reel. So they spent thousands to create a professional one.
- An agent said they'd never have a chance at booking a recurring role unless they took the latest on-camera classes. So they kept training, week after week, continuously refining their technique.

Thinking "Outside the Industry"
The Actor vs. The Re-Actor
Super successful actors have built their careers in many ways, from simply knocking on doors over and over again until they got a yes, to building their own production companies from scratch and using them to meet well-known directors. There is by no means only one way to get there, but there is one common trait that almost all self-made successful people have:
They moved from being reactive to proactive.
They decided on a long-term goal they wanted, created a strategy to get there, and followed through CONSISTENTLY.
When people told them to get a new headshot because the background was too dark, they simply thanked them and filed the idea away to come back to it when they were ready. They didn’t let outside influences like friends, articles or books control them by giving them excuses to avoid the hard and scary actions they knew they needed to take.
They didn't let all those "ideas" trick them into believing there was a shortcut to building a successful acting career.
They became real ACTORS by choosing to stop being “re-actors.”
Because I'm not an actor myself, I've had the luxury of seeing the industry from a completely different perspective, and I've discovered that there are only a few KEY things actors need to focus on to get booked with steady work. Everything else is just noise.
Here are three of those key areas:
It's not magic. It's math.

Here are three of those key areas:
- Increasing the number of projects you're submitting to. Because the more you and/or your agent submit you for, the more audition opportunities you'll get, right?
- Increasing the percentage of submissions that result in auditions. By making tweaks to your submissions process, figuring out your brand, and becoming friends with the right casting directors, you can crank up the percentage of submissions that turn into auditions more than 5X from 5% (most actors) all the way to 25% or even higher in some cases.
- Increasing the percentage of auditions that result in bookings. By improving your audition performance and making some tweaks to your marketing materials, you can crank your booking percentage more than 6X from 5% (most actors) to 30% and even higher in some cases.
It's not magic. It's math.
The Mathematics Strategy
Here's a simple "outside the industry" strategy I teach actors to improve their bookings quickly:
Take a look at your numbers. Let's say you're like a lot of actors – you're submitting to 40 projects per month, getting about 3 auditions each month, and booking something every 2 months.
That's a 7.5% audition rate and a 16% booking rate.
Now imagine if you worked on each area and improved your percentages just a little bit:
All these numbers have a multiplicative effect:
Your 3 auditions a month would to 12 auditions a month! And instead of booking one gig every 2 months... you'd be booking 2-3 gigs EVERY SINGLE MONTH.
Think that's crazy? Here's something even crazier: When you're booking that many jobs, networking becomes easier. Suddenly your name starts getting recognized in the industry because you're working so much... and within a year or two, you find yourself being OFFERED roles (instead of having to submit and audition all the time).
The Mathematics Strategy is just one example of "outside the industry" thinking that will help you go from being reactive to proactive.
I want you to become an actor who thinks hard, puts in the effort, and always goes the extra mile. Because once you do, you'll quickly find yourself getting WAY more opportunities than you've ever had, and you'll never look back.

- You improved your audition rate from 7.5% to 20% by packaging your marketing materials better, creating relationships with a few casting directors, figuring out your brand, and making a simple reel (this can actually be done for free and I can show you how).
- You slightly increased your booking rate from 16% to 20% by working on your audition technique and how you interact with casting directors when you meet them.
