Over 900 actors have used this branding process to move their careers forward, and here's what some of them have said:

"I’ve sat through more seminars, workshops and “masterclasses” than I can count. And I’ve learned more from your free content then most of the paid classes I’ve attended. THANK YOU!"

- Adam B.

"You truly helped me Martin. If it wasn’t for your branding process, I don’t know how my headshots would’ve turned out. So thank you thank you thank you!"

 - Mya C.

"I just want to say thank you so much for this branding process. You are so kind and knowledgeable and I got so much out of it!"

 - Eri M.

“Martin’s branding help combined with my training and experience in the industry unlocked something that helped me book several jobs back-to-back including my Broadway debut! Martin has something specific to offer actors, and I can’t recommend him highly enough.”

 - Tyrone R.

"Your content has been a godsend for me. Every article and video is packed with information that I never knew I needed to thrive in the industry. They’ve helped me become more confident in approaching acting as both an art and a business.

Find Your Brand

Picture

A lot of actors feel like once they're out of school, acting isn't as enjoyable as it used to be.

Sure, the first few months are great as you learn the process, meet new people, experience new things, and start auditioning for paid gigs.

But after a short time, it can get draining - especially if you have trouble getting in the room for the roles you want.

The industry only wants to hire you for what they think you're right for, and it doesn't matter how you feel about it.
Well, if there's one thing I want you to take away from this article, it's this:

There IS another way.

There is a way to love acting again, while also getting booked solid with paid roles you love.

How?

By finding a brand you're truly proud of. A brand that - rather than boxing you in, opens up more opportunities to you.

First, I'd like you to imagine two scenarios:

Scenario 1: You are sitting in an audition room, ready to go in and read for a part. You've memorized the lines and think you fit the bill. You're hoping that they like your look, but you're worried someone else waiting in the room looks even more like the character than you. You also don't have that many professional credits under your belt. They call you in, you do your audition, and then you leave, never to hear from them again, a bit annoyed that you wasted your time going out for an audition that never materialized into anything.

Scenario 2: You are sitting in an audition room, ready to go in and read for a part that was completely meant for you. It was easy to memorize the lines because you live and breathe the character, and you know you naturally fit the bill. You know they'll love your look and no one else in the room matches this character type as perfectly as you do. You don't have too many professional credits under your belt, but you're not concerned because your resume is filled with roles that are very similar to the character type you're about to audition for. They call you in, you have the best time of your life playing a character you absolutely love, and after you leave, you actually hear back. Booked it! You know you'll do your best work on set and make amazing new connections with people in the industry.

Which scenario would you rather be in?

Actor Type

Now, think about the photo above. Does he have a brand? Absolutely.

What kind of feeling do you get when you look at that headshot? One of intensity? Intrigue? Confidence? Hardened street thug?

It's a stylized headshot that tells a story and captures the attention of the viewer. And if he submitted for an Asian gangster style role, do you think he'd get called in? Absolutely.

That's the power of a brand. If your headshot and marketing materials are bland and don't say anything specific, you'll constantly wonder why you struggle to book jobs, and the casting directors will ALWAYS be the ones deciding what roles they want you to play.

But when you find a brand you're proud of, everything changes.

Watch the video below to learn why finding a brand is SO important:

I've spoken to hundreds of actors and have worked one on one with many of them to help them get booked solid playing characters they ABSOLUTELY LOVE.

And a huge part of that success comes from helping them get clear on their Type and Brand in a way that does NOT pigeonhole them.

In fact, my 9-step branding process not only helps actors book bigger and better roles, but it also EXPANDS the number of roles they can submit for, meaning you get to be WAY more creative and have more fun.

Within just 4 weeks of going through this process, one of my clients Tyrone L. Robinson actually booked his first Broadway role: King Agnarr in Disney's Frozen. He attributes his success in large part to getting clear on his Brand and Pride Words.

So now I'd like you to watch the video below. In it, I'll take you through my exact 9-Step Process to Find Your Brand:

Many actors think a brand will pigeonhole them into only playing a specific type of character, but this couldn't be further from the truth. Your type is your look (which can limit your play range), but your look and type will change over time.

Your brand is basically all the different types you can play combined with your personality – so it's much wider than many actors think.

A great brand will not pigeonhole you, but allow you to be MORE free by helping you figure out the types of roles you most enjoy playing. A great brand is YOU at the deepest level and should make you proud and excited!

Instead of trying to figure out what casting directors want and give it to them, you need to figure out who you are and then find who is already looking for that.

Funny how in a world where your entire profession is based on playing characters you're not in real life, you have to be yourself to get work, right?
