As someone who primarily runs a creative photography business for a living, I was rarely on LinkedIn. I would constantly hear from my colleagues that I should update my LinkedIn profile and use it to network with people and make more money, but I was always confused as to what that meant. I’m not into social media and I don’t work in the corporate world, so why should I spend my time on LinkedIn? Lots of actors think the same thing, but the truth is, actors need LinkedIn just as much as business people! Having great LinkedIn skills meant I could connect with virtually anyone I wanted to.
