How to Become an Actor: Make Your Online Presence Rock

Imagine what it would be like if your entire online presence was perfectly branded.

Imagine if your acting profiles and social media pages were well put together with a great photo, were all up to date, and you had a great email signature with a professional actor headshot showing your specific type and brand.

How would that feel?

I always like to think about setting these things up from a “systems” perspective.

Yes there is some work you have to put in now. Yes you might have to pay some money now, especially to get a great headshot if you don't already have one.

But what about long term? Once you put the work and money in, it’s a system that lasts for years. And it makes every single one of your interactions with people online that much more effective.

You’ll get higher response rates from casting directors. You’ll be perceived as more professional and put together. You’ll look like you really care about your acting career and making a great first impression. And you’ll be up to date with current trends. How would that feel?

How long do you really think it would take if you just sat down this weekend and updated everything (if you haven't already done so)? Would it take the whole day? No way. Would it even take 5 hours? No! To update your social pages and online acting profiles, it will probably take an hour or two at most. And then it will be done!

I strongly encourage you to do it. Just carve out the time to get it done. 1-2 hours and a few hundred dollars on headshots (if you haven't got one yet) will generate tens of thousands of dollars in increased bookings for years.

If you just do it, by this time next week you could have everything set up and each audition you go in for will be that much more successful.
