Interviews With Agents/Managers
Thanks for agreeing to do an interview with me!
My goal is to help actors get more bookings and move their careers forward (feel free to check out my "About" page), and in this interview we will be discussing your work as an agent/manager and what you've seen in the actors you've worked with so other actors can learn from our discussion. Below are 6 possible interview questions to discuss (we might not do all of them, or we might do some different ones depending on what we talk about).

- Background: Tell me a little bit about your work as an agent/manager. How did you get into the industry and what are 1-2 of your biggest accomplishments to date?
- Tell me a little bit more about some of your clients and the type of actors you most enjoy working with?
- How You Help the Actors You Work With: What are some of the things you do to help your clients get paid acting work?
- How do you sell actors? What are some of the top things you say and what do you focus on during pushes?
- What do you think CD'S care most about? Recent credits, significant callbacks, screen tests, feedback from other CD's, training, the ability to discover a new talent, etc .?
- How do you sell actors? What are some of the top things you say and what do you focus on during pushes?
- Your Clients' Goals: What are 1-2 of clients' biggest goals in the acting industry?
- What are some of the specific steps being taken to reach those goals?
- Your Advice on Auditioning: What are two or three top tips you can give to an actor who struggles to get called back after auditioning?
- Your Advice on Getting an Agent/Manager: How do you recommend actors go about getting an agent/manager, and are there any things they definitely should NOT do?
- Your Top Suggestions: Out of everything you've seen working in the industry, what one or two things do you think are the most helpful in moving actors' careers forward?
- If you had to give some advice to an actor stuck at a plateau in their career, what would it be?
- Anything else you'd like to say?
Referrals: This question is not going to be included in the interview, but who are 2-3 other people you can think of that might be helpful for actors to hear from? I'm interested in speaking with acting teachers, casting directors, agents, managers, filmmakers, or very successful actors you might know.
