About Jay Grushkin
After over four decades as a partner at a prestigious Wall Street law firm, I’ve transitioned from the boardroom to the film set, bringing a lifetime of professional experience to every role I play. At 66, I’m not your average retiree—in fact, you could say I’m just getting started! My first taste of acting came in high school when I played Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls. Decades later, in 2023, my wife gave me a nudge (as wives often do) and submitted me for a background acting role on Succession. My on-screen debut was at Logan Roy’s funeral, and I was hooked. In just one year, I appeared in 20 productions as background talent. While I loved the experience, I craved a bigger challenge. Now, I’ve stepped into roles that draw on my professional expertise, focusing on lawyers, executives, judges, and more. With more than 41 years practicing law and serving on corporate boards, I bring credibility and authority to roles like corporate attorneys, trial lawyers, judges, and business leaders. I'm thrilled to contribute my real-world knowledge to every production. |
